Schedule: As needed (Weekdays from 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM)

Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part-Time Substitute Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have teaching experience in a preschool or early childhood classroom and a genuine passion for working with children ages 3 to 5. This position is perfect for someone who is energetic, flexible, patient, and eager to inspire learning through play.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment

  • Support and guide children through routines, transitions, and daily experiences

  • Foster positive relationships with children, families, and fellow staff

  • Promote play-based learning that supports all areas of development

  • Observe and respond to each child’s individual needs and growth

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom

Qualifications

  • Prior teaching experience in a preschool or early childhood classroom (preferred)

  • Knowledge of early childhood development and play-based learning approaches

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

  • Energetic, patient, and creative approach to working with young children

  • Flexible and adaptable to the needs of a dynamic classroom environment

  • Degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred

  • Clean Bureau of Criminal Investigation background check required (paid for by the school)

  • First Aid and CPR certification required (paid for by the school)

  • Must complete training required by the Department of Children and Youth upon hire
