Dear SJEEC Families, 

It is hard to believe that we are in the last couple weeks of school! This past month we waited patiently for our caterpillars to become butterflies and then got to set them free outside on our playground. We learned about the different life stages of a butterfly, made Eric Carle inspired butterfly art and made paper flowers to compliment them. We had more walking field trips to the library, Enrichment went to the local bike shop and we had visits from the Colonial Hills Folk Group and a Worthington City School Bus driver. We have been busy!

This past weekend we had our annual Ice Cream Social and Open House. It was so much fun to see some of our past students, to welcome new ones, and to celebrate a fun-filled year with our current families. The magician was a hit and had all of the children on the edge of their seats. Thank you to everyone who helped to put the event together, to everyone who donated their time, a raffle basket or gift certificate and to everyone who bought tickets. It was a great success!

As the year comes to a close, we want to say thank you for being a part of St. John’s. It has been a wonderful year. As I've said before, it is truly a privilege to spend each day with your children. It has been a joy to see how much they have grown over the course of the year. We know they learned a lot, but we learned a lot too. We hope everyone has a summer full of adventure and memorable moments. We will look forward to seeing you in the fall!

May 14th:  Last Day of School - Blue Room dismisses at 12:00

May 26th-May 29th:  Summer Camp 9:00-12:00 (More information for campers soon!)
